Photojournalism

In 2020, when the Black Lives Matter protests erupted in Detroit, I felt a urge to witness these events firsthand. It was an opportunity for me to tell a story through my lens. This gallery serves as a visual record of the history that unfolded during that time. My aim is to allow viewers to form their own understanding of these significant events during a period of mass division.

Adventures

What started as a love for adventuring with friends and capturing moments with my camera quickly grew into a passion. So much so it compelled me to travel to thirteen countries over the years. The majority of which were solo just a backpack and my camera. Fueled by wonderlust I captured my adventures that span from urban cityscapes, majestic landscapes, and night skies.

Portraiture

I set out to capture these portraits to document the essence of what makes the world worthwhile: the human element. Each subject brings a unique story and reflects a different culture, yet they all resonate with universal truths. I’ve discovered how similar we are, despite our differences. We all laugh, share smiles, and greet one another—a global language that transcends borders. In each image I aimed to capture a raw, unfiltered moment in time, a reflection on the depth of humans. I often find myself pondering of the person in the photo: What is their life story? What struggles do we share? I hope you find inspiration in this gallery and ponder the same questions as we are all part of one global community
